Pray extra hard over the next few weeks. All of us grow a little more melancholy around Christmas. And most of us at least know someone who has suffered tremendous loss around Christmas. So, ironically, during a season defined by joy, many are often overwhelmed by grief.
Additionally, in pursuit of the “perfect” holiday, the stress of gift giving, meal preparation and unresolved family conflict, Christmas becomes a burden to get through, rather than a delight to remember the joy of our Savior’s birth.
So let’s be ready to extend some extra grace to one another and all of those who gather to worship with us.
