Howdy Partner

Luke 19:28-40

QUESTIONS THAT WILL HELP YOU DIG DEEPER INTO THE MAIN MESSAGE FOR YOUR FAMILY DEVOTIONS OR SMALL GROUP:

Read the text: Luke 19:28-40.

What do you think of the idea that God is ‘NEEDY‘? Is that strange for you to hear? What is the one thing that was shared that God has made the choice to be in NEED of?

Why doesn’t God do everything by Himself, wouldn’t that be way easier? How do 2 Corinthians 8:9 and 1 Corinthians 1:27-29 relate to this idea?

Pastor Michael mentioned that before a person can partner with the Lord, oftentimes they must be ‘untied/loosed/unwrapped’. What was he talking about? (Hebrews 12:1 and John 11:43-44). What would that look like for you (any old ‘issues’ you find yourself wrapped up in)?

What do you think ‘persecution’ might look like in the coming months/years for Christians? How do we prepare for it? How do we respond to it?

Most Believers probably understand and appreciate that Jesus is the Conquering King, the Almighty God, but what about Him being humble and approachable? Are those important to you? What are the benefits of having an ‘approachable’ God that is called a ‘Friend of sinners’?

Pastor Michael also shared his weird idea about the ‘stones’ outside the Eastern wall of Jerusalem. What did you think of that? If it’s true, and the fulfillment of what Jesus said when He declared, “if they were to keep silent, the stones would cry out” is found in Matthew 27:52-53… what are the implications for you and me?
