Read Luke 22:35-38. In these verses the disciples, once again, seem to misinterpret Jesus’ words. They think He’s speaking of actual swords and missing the idea that Jesus wanted them to be ready for changes that were on the horizon. How did Jesus respond when He would become frustrated by those around Him? Do you think He did get frustrated… or angry with people?

How will the lives of the disciples change after Christ is rejected and looked upon as a criminal?

Read John 18:36-37. How is God’s Kingdom advanced? How is it NOT advanced? What do you feel the BEST way for the Gospel to advance today is?

Read 1 Peter 5:6-9. Pastor Michael mentioned 5 practical ways we can be ‘alert’ and keep our powder dry. Discuss each of these.
