Read Luke 23:26-31. Why do you think Jesus didn’t want anyone to weep for Him?

How would you paraphrase what He meant by the proverb in verse 31?

When you hear someone say, “You must pick up your cross daily and follow Jesus” what do you think that means?

Pastor Michael talked about how dying to yourself involves dying to self-love, self-preservation, and self-absorption. He said, “If I choose to die a little bit every day then it won’t be so bad on my final day”. Do you agree with that statement? Why or Why Not? How does this verse relate? Psalm 23:6 (The Passion Translation) – “So why would I fear the future? Only goodness and tender love pursue me all the days of my life. Then afterward, when my life is through, I’ll return to your glorious presence to be forever with You!”
