QUESTIONS TO HELP YOUR SMALL GROUP OR FAMILY DIVE DEEPER INTO THE MESSAGE:
Read 1 Peter 1:23-25. What stands out to you most in these verses?
Read Hebrews 4:12. What does it mean that God’s Word is ‘living’? Can you think of some examples of God’s Word being a ‘living thing’… either from your life, or from other Scripture? How does John 1:1 relate?
Read 2 Peter 1:20-21. Describe what “carried along by the Holy Spirit” means?
Pastor Michael said that “Even if God were to audibly speak from Heaven today He would be repeating Himself, because all that He has wanted to say HAS ALREADY BEEN SAID”… do you agree with that statement? Why or why not? Is it possible for some “new revelation” to come out today? How could that be a dangerous thing?
In 1 Peter 1:23, HOW is a person born again? What does Jesus say in John 3? Why was the example of Ezekiel 37:1-10 given?
Read Isaiah 55:10-11. Talk about a time when God’s Word came alive to you, or ’caused you to become alive’.
Are you perhaps in a ‘dry time’ in your spiritual life? Pray for those in your group and practice ‘planting “imperishable seed” into each other’.
