S.O.A.R. – Sold Out And Radical

1 Peter 4:12-13

Questions, for your small group or family devotions, to help you dig deeper into the message:

How would you describe a ‘radical’? When someone is sold out and radical for something… anything… is that a good thing? Why or why not?

Read 1 Peter 4:12-13. What is the context to Peter writing this? What false assumption does Peter set straight in verse 12?

How is rejoicing in suffering different than simply enduring suffering? What is meant by ‘rejoice‘?

The ‘eaglet’ becomes uncomfortable in the nest, because it was designed specifically to cause agitation. Why? How is this like how God deals with us? Why does He deal with us like this? What’s His main purpose?

Read Deuteronomy 32:11-12. What ‘foreign gods‘ are we needing to look away from in order to truly soar?

Read Isaiah 40:11. What does it mean to “wait on the Lord“? How did Pastor Michael describe what waiting on the Lord could look like?

What form does your suffering for Christ take?
