QUESTIONS TO HELP YOU DIG DEEPER INTO THE MESSAGE FOR YOUR FAMILY DEVOTIONS OR SMALL GROUP:
Anger is an emotion that we are all familiar with, it may feel hard to control this feeling. But usually, anger isn’t the first place our emotions go. Try to think about a time when you were angry. Now if you can identify why you were angry, it probably stemmed first from feelings of hurt, humiliation, fear, rejection and the big one… frustration. Jesus was constantly being “watched closely” (Luke 14:1, Mark 3:2 for example). Have you ever been under constant scrutiny? If so, how did you respond?
Read Ephesians 4:26-5:2. Go through this passage together and discuss the various ways shown here where God’s Word teaches us about how to deal with anger.
After reading Mark 3:1-5, Pastor Michael stated, “Rather than cause damage in His anger, Jesus instead brought healing“. Talk about some practical ways this can be done by us today, in the year 2020.

Being able to control our feelings means first, understanding why we feel that way. Second controlling those feelings and not letting that anger control us. And talk to God about it, there is power in prayer. As you end your time together today, pray for yourself and for one-another, and pray for the person that’s making you angry, pray that you can forgive and move forward in love.
