What does it mean to be a neighbor according this parable?

In what ways have Christians been good neighbors?

In what ways have you seen Christians be bad neighbors?

What is a way in which you need to be a neighbor?

What is something practical you can do this week to be a neighbor to someone you like?

What is something practical you can do this week to be a neighbor to someone who frustrates you?

How can we help each other be neighbors like Jesus calls us to be?

Family Discussion Questions for the children’s message: “Daniel’s Dream”

Choose a volunteer to read aloud Daniel 7:14.

Ask the following questions and Lead your family to discuss:

  1. What is the difference between earthly kingdoms and God’s kingdom? Invite kids to share their ideas. Point out that earthly kingdoms are temporary but God’s kingdom will last forever. Earthly kingdoms are ruled by imperfect men but God’s kingdom is ruled by the perfect King—Jesus!(Option: Choose a volunteer to read Ps. 46:6.)
  2. Who is always in control? Assure kids that we can be confident that no matter who is ruling or what chaos is happening in the world, God has and will always be in control. All rulers are ultimately under God’s control, and one day all rulers will serve and obey Him.(Option: Choose a volunteer to read Dan. 7:27.)
  3. How should we live, knowing God is the eternal King? Guide kids to conclude that if we have trusted Jesus as our Savior, we will live differently. We will be more concerned with eternal things, knowing that one day, the eternal King will take his throne and we will be with Him in glory.(Option: Choose a volunteer to read Col. 3:1-4.)
